Sir, I am a PhD student of Annamali university. Is there any permission required from AICTE for PhD or else UGC norms is enough? What I mean to say is that will my PhD become invalid if I do from a university which is not approved by AICTE?

First thing I would like to let you know that if any university is UGC approved then it is not mandatory to be approved by AICTE.

So, PhD degree from Annamalai University is certainly valid for further studies or jobs applications even if the same university does not hold the recognition of AICTE but holds the recognition of UGC.
