Re: Possibility to become a Custom Officer for 12th Humanities student?
Customs officers enforces custom laws.
There are three ways through which you can get into the service. 1)Upsc Tagged as India's toughest examination, upsc recruits candidates for the IRS POST- Indian revenue service Upsc is conducted annually and is a difficult exam so if you are unable to clear it,the next option is ssc 2)SSC It recruits candidates to the group B and group C-D services. If you are fine with the lower group services ,you can.opt for that as it provides promotion in 5-10 years. And finally the third option: 3) Direvi recruitment to CBEC: Central board of excise and customs directly recruits candidates to selevtive posts. |

Being a 12th pass student you are not eligible to apply for the post of Custom Officer because as per the minimum eligibility criteria, a candidate must have minimum qualification of graduation in any discipline from a recognised board with at least 55% marks.
