Yes, you can change the school within the same board.
But, it is possible only when you will get the registration number from the last school and have to submit in the school in which you want to get the admission. |

CBSE Admission Rules for Class 10
In case of admission in class 10, schools generally do not take new admissions since the secondary level course is a two year integrated course. In certain cases, the schools consider admission, provided a student has fulfilled the following conditions. 1)Has completed the course of class 9 from any government recognised board and has cleared the final examination. 2)The family has either got transferred or shifted to a new location. 3)Satisfies the age requirements In such admission cases, the schools would obtain a post facto approval of the Board within one month of admission of that particular student. Documents Required For Admission in Class 10 1)Transfer Certificate or School Leaving Certificate signed by the Institution Head of the previous institute 2)Date of Birth Certificate 3)Documents in support of his having cleared the equivalent qualifying examination |

Re: Possibility to change school from 9th to 10th under CBSE Board's curriculum?
CBSE advises not to change school in 10th and 12th standard. Because, registration process is initiated by CBSE for students in 9th and 11th standard.
So, for better education and any discrepancy in registration of students for Board exams, it is suggested by CBSE to avoid switch in schools in Class 10 and Class 12. But even then, if you are bound to switch schools for any emergency reasons like Transfer cases, shifting of family, medical grounds, etc., Then, CBSE would demand standard documents from you like copy of transfer orders of the parents, new address proof, etc. All these documents must be authentic in nature, otherwise it may create problem in registration of student for Board exams. |
