Hello, I am Sushmita from Dehradun and I have completed my Intermediate. Can I get into Indian Army on the basis of 12th in any department of Indian Army and at any post/designation?

After 12th, you cannot join Indian Army.
But if you complete your graduation in any discipline from a recognised University than you can join Indian Army through Short Service Commission non-technical scheme. Under this scheme female candidates Aspiring to be part of Indian Army must appear for Combined Defence Services Exam which is conducted twice in a year in the month of July and November by UPSC.


Age limit-19 to 25 years.

Height should be 152 CMS minimum.
Weight should be in accordance with.

Vision should be 6/6 or 6/36 for distant vision.

Female candidate should be unmarried and physical and mentally fit.

Being 12th pass out, you are not eligible to join Indian Army but yes if you complete your graduation then you will be eligible to appear in CDS examination that is conducted for graduate students by UPSC twice in a year.
