If you are interested in Medicine, why did you join B.Tech. There is no use of doing B.Tech course for Medicine. Instead you are going to waste 4 years of academic career by joining Medicine after doing B.Tech course.

After completion of 12th class, you should have joined directly for Medicine. It is not at all a good decision of doing Medicine after B.Tech

As you are studying just 2nd year of B.Tech course, it would better to quit the course now and joining Medicine now.

There are Medical Entrance Exams in India. Only after qualifying in the Entrance exam, you can get admission for Medicine.

After Medicine, you should do MS in some specialized area. Then you can earn good salary.

Yes you can, After completion of your B.tech you can go for various medical courses like B.Sc Nursing , B.pharmacy. But you don't get benefit of them. Because you have to spend some extra year to do these courses and you have to do these courses from beginning with bachelor's course. So there is no need to go for medical line after your B.tech. You will go for the master's in your technical field and you can do M.tech in your field. M.tech Candidate have also numerous opportunity in India. But if you have interest in medical line than I give you suggestion that you can do B.Pharmacy and after your B.Pharmacy you will be made your license of medical store and open your own medical store. This is also a very beneficially work.

If you studied in physics, chemistry, maths & biology as compulsory subject then definitely you can apply for medical course as MBBS.

You will have to appear AIPMT & AIIMS entrance exam.

You can also apply for some other medicine course like B.pharmacy,D Pharmacy & M Pharmacy. There is no any entrance exam conducted for get admission in these courses.

If you are interested in going for Medical then its better you first quit engineering then go for medical preparation. You will need to take AIPMT or AIIMS exams. But think a few time before taking this step. Two years that you have spent in Engineering will become worthless.

You can become a Engineer by studying Engineering. If your branch in NIT is biotechnology, you might get accepted into a Master's medical program (MD degree).
