I am attaching the sample question papers. And below are some general information

JEST, an abbreviation for Joint Entrance Screening Test, is a joint entrance examination conducted by few of the famous institute of India. It is conducted on a joint basis by many institutes for admission in to the PhD courses. The discipline in which PhD is offered is mainly Physics and theoretical Computer Science.
The test is conducted all over the country in various cities to provide convenience to the candidates appearing for it. The forms come out by the first week of November and they are required to be submitted by the month of December.

The JEST exam papers contains all types of questions in it starting from multiple choice questions, where along with a correct answer, few more answers are given as choice and the candidates are required to choose the correct answer. Apart from that the paper also contains few questions which are very easy, but are asked in a tricky and confusing style, to check the concept base of the candidates.

Long and detailed questions are also asked in order to test the theoretical and detailed knowledge of the candidates. The entire test comprises of all the questions that can make a good judgments about the candidates and their capabilities.
