Default Re: Previous year Question Papers for SET Exam in Computer Science?

SET which is sometimes referred as SLET means State Eligibility Test for Lectureship. This exam is similar to the National Eligibility Test which is taken by candidates interested in Lectureship and PhD.

While National Eligibility Test is conducted by the University Grants Commission for Lectureship in central government colleges the SET exam is conducted by the State Education Board.

The requirements to appear for SET and NET exams are the same. However syllabus will change for SET exam depending on state to state. It is important to understand that you will be able to get lecturer job within the state in which you took the SET exam. It will not be valid for other states.

Eligibility

1. Post graduation degree in any stream from a UGC recognized university.

2. At least 55 percent marks in post graduation.

3. SC/ST candidates need 50 percent marks in post graduation.

4. Final year students of master course may also apply.

5. But they should be able to submit their degree within 2 years of passing SET/NET exam.

6. The age limit for JRF is 28 years.

7. There is no age limit for Lectureship.

8. There is no restriction on number of attempts.
