Hi, I got my 12th Board certificates from CBSE Board but my father's surname is missing in the certificates. So, is there any way to update it? Can it be done online or offline via my school? Or, do I need to directly apply to CBSE Board?

In this case, you will have to visit CBSE Regional Office and fill the correction form. After filling the correction form, you need to submit it along with relevant documents and required fees (approx INR 1000).

Correction form can be obtained through official site of CBSE also. Here is the link: https://cbse.nic.in/newsite/forms.html

Note that correction in marksheet/certificate would be only entertained if it is submitted within 2 years of the declaration of result.

So, if you have submitted correction form after 2 years of declaration of result, then your correction application will not be accepted.
