Income Tax Officer Exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to recruit the Income Tax Officer.

Those candidate have completed graduation degree from recognized university are eligible for INCOME TAX OFFICER exam.

Also your age should be in between 18 years to 27 years.

The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

The examination is conduct two ways (i) Written examination (ii) Interview for Personality Test for such candidates as may qualify in the written test.

THE PHYSICAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

Height :157.5cm

Chest :81cm ,fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cm

The other Ground Work is -

i)Walking:1600 meters in 15 minutes

ii)Cycling:8 Km in 30 minutes

If you want to become income tax officier,you should be gradutate.
Indian civil service examination gives oppernity you to become ito.
It is conducated union public service commision new delhi for ias, its etc.

1.Qualification:
a)you should have any degree of a recognized University, or equivalent.
as you have done graduation in B.Com ,so you are positively eligible.

2.Age:
a)Your age should not be not less than 18 yers and not greater than 27 years on the first July of the year of examination
b) The age limit for the posts of Inspector of Income Tax, is 18-27 years as on March 2011

3.Physical Standards (Minimum)
a)Height :157.5cm
b)Chest :81cm ,fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cm
c)Physical Test:
i)Walking:1600 meters in 15 minutes
ii)Cycling:8 Km in 30 minutes

HOW TO APPLY(PROCEDURE)

a)For the next exam the application form will be available from first week of February 2011 at SSC official website at
http://www.ssconline.nic.in.
b)Last date for filling of the application is 2nd March, 2011

-There will be a Written Examination of all objective type questions.
-Then an Personal Interview for for qualified students in the Written Test

The examination will be conducted in two parts:

Part I Written Examination
Part II Skill Test


Part I: Written Examination

The Examination will consist of two Papers I and II. Paper I will be Objective Type Multiple Choice whereas Paper II will be of Conventional Type.


Paper I

Part A – General English
Part B – General Awareness

Total Marks : 200
Total Duration: 2 hr

Paper II

Arithmetic

Total Marks : 100
Total Duration: 2 hr


Part II: Skill Test


Candidates allowed to take this test will have to qualify the test at the prescribed speed on Computer, to be provided by the Commission or agency authorized by the Commission to conduct such skill test at the Centre/venue so notified

i am student of BTECH (CSE) ,I HAVE JUST APPEARED FOR FINAL YEAR XAMS .I HAVE BACK(ARREARS) .....AND I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COMPLETE MY BTECH IN FOUR YEAR STIPULATED TIME ....BUT I CAN LATTER CLEAR IT AFTER 6 MONTHS. WILL I BE ELIGIBLE FOR INCOMETAX OFFICER OR ANY COMBINED UNDERGRADUTE XAMS ORGANISED BY SSC....I WILL COMPLETE MY BTECH IN 4.5 YEARS INSTED OF 4 YEARS...BUT I WILL BE GRADUTE....BEFORE FILLING THE SSC FORM FOR NEXT YEAR.......

a)General Intelligence: It consists of your ability of reasoning ,how much you can analysis a problem.

b)General English: It consists English Language and will be based on error recognition, fill in the blanks using verbs, preposition, articles etc, vocabulary, spellings, Grammar, sentence-structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, sentence completion, phrases and idiomatic use of words etc

c)Arithmetical Ability: It consists of problems relating to number systems, Computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions, percentages, ratio and proportions, averages, interest, profit & loss, use of tables and graphs, mensuration, time & distance, ratio and time etc

d)General Awareness: It consists of the general awareness of the environment around you and its application to society,

e) knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect .

f) The test will also include History, Geography, Economic, General policy, Scientific Research etc.


PATTERN OF INCOME TAX EXAM
Tier-I Exam Paper Consists(2 hours):

Part-A : General Intelligence Reasoning (50 marks)

Income Tax Officer deals with the income tax related matters in our country.To become an income tax officer in India aspirants have to undergo a selection process of written exam & interview conducted by staff selection commission.

Eligibility:

Educational qualification:- Bachelor degree of any stream.

Age:
Minimum 18 year & maximum 27 year on 1st July of the year of examination.
The upper age limit is relaxed by 3 year for OBC & 5 year for SC/ST.
The upper age limit is relaxed in favor of certain categories of employees working under the Govt. of India & Defense service personnel.

Procedure:
First the candidate buy the application form from the post office/Head post office spread all over the country.The application form published in the month of April.

In the month of May/June the aspirants take the preliminary exam consist of 2 papers.

Those candidate qualified in the preliminary exam to take the Final exam .The Final Exam devided in to 2 parts ,Written Exam & Interview or personality test.

After that the final list of successful candidates are prepared.
