Procedure for IES entrance exam? Does paper 1 comprise of GK and current affairs?
What is the procedure of IES exam?
Does paper No1 Comprises of GK and current affairs and after Qualifying it,An Aspirant is liable to sit for other rounds? |

You are correct the first paper does comprise of General English and General Awareness areas. But it is not similar to the civil service exam where only if you qualify this round you will be called for the next round. This exam is normally conducted in 3 consecutive days. The second day has objective type questions depending on your area of specialisation. The last day has descriptive type questions. You will be called for the interview round only if you qualify in all these papers.
