Its a Dream Come true to join Indian Army and It is one of the Prestigious job in india.
There are many ways to join Indian Army depending up on the Educational Qualification and Age.
If you want to join as a officer rank then Graduation is must and for all the ranks you have to appear Entrance Exam conducted by Union public service commission and SSB interview.

If you completed 12th standard.you will be getting post on non-technical.if you clear the written test and physical test,medical test.to apply for this post 12th standard subject should be maths,physics,chemistry.
if you completed graduation,you will get post on technical,i.e is officer job,you will be in charge of non-technical holders.
for technical first will written test,if qualify u will be asking to attended SSB interview,this will be for 5days.interview(including up and down traveling,boarding) expenditure will paid by the Indian Army .if you are not able to clear first days,on the same day they send you home.like this it will be continues till the last day of interview.the person who will be clearing the 5days interview he will be selected at some extend,they will be releasing merit list after three to four month later,then if person is listed ,he will be appointed as Army officer.if you are interest in doing post graduation .you can do your post graduation in Army college.

Indian Army 24th Technical Entry Scheme Selection Procedure

1. Short listed candidates will be called for Services Selection Board SSB Interview at Bhopal, Bangalore or Allahabad. SSB Interviews will be held in August/September 2010 onwards.

2. Duration of SSB Interviews is five days excluding day of arrival. During their stay at SSB Interviews, Candidates are put through psychological Test, Group test and Interviews.

3. Candidates will be put through stage-I of the selection procedure on the first day. Only successful candidates shall be retained for balance of the testing. Candidates who fail to qualify in stage-I, will be returned on the first day itself. Stage-I are psychologically originated test including intelligence test.

4. Successful candidates at the SSB will be required to undergo medical test lasting 3 to 5 days less Sundays and gazetted holidays.

You can join army after 12 th or after graduation:
After your 12th Class You have Three Options

NDA is conducted by UPSC and it held twice in a year.
Eligibility
Age: 16 l/2 to 19 yrs

Hello friend,
There are two best possible ways to get into Indian Army. If you have completed your +2 level of education from a recognized board, you may appear for NDA exam conducted by UPSC. The Minimum eligible age for the exam is 16 1/2 years and the maximum age limit is 19 years. The last date of submission of application form for the upcoming NDA exam is 9th May 2011, for the examination to be conducted on 21st August 2011.
Apart from NDA exam, UPSC conducts another examination for candidates holding Bachelors degree and is called CDS exam. The eligible age for the exam is between 19-24 years. The last date of submission of application form for the CDS exam is 30th May 2011, for the exam to be conducted on 18th September 2011.

Indian Army Soldiers Clerks 2011 Recruitment Exam
Indian Army Soldiers Clerk exam is held 4 times in a year. The notification is published in Employment news & other Indicating the most important performer or role newspaper. The Indian Army consist various branches & divisions and services. Clerk service is one among these services. For the recruitment of clerks Indian Army conducts an exam namely Indian Army Soldier Clerk Exam.

Indian Army Soldiers Clerks Exam Eligibility Criteria:
Unmarried male Indian citizens (subjects of Nepal also) belonging to the age group of 16 to 23 years and who have passed the Matriculation / equivalent examination with English and Mathematics are eligible to apply for the Indian Army Soldiers Clerks Exam.

Medical Standards:
A candidate should have robust physique and good mental health. Chest should be well developed having minimum 5 Cms expansion should have normal hearing with each ear and good binocular vision in both eyes.
He should be able to read 6/6 in distant vision chart with each eye. Colour vision should be CP-III should recognize red and green colours.
Should have sufficient number of natural healthy gum and teeth i.e. minimum 14 dental points should not have disease like deformity of bones, hydrocele and varicocle or piles.

Physical Standards:
Height: 167 cms, relaxable for certain regions
Weight: 50 kg, relaxable for certain regions
Chest: 77/82 cm

Application Procedure:
Blank application forms are available free of cost at local Recruitment Offices, District Collector’s Office, Zila Parishads and Employment Exchanges. Candidates are at liberty to send their application on plain paper, handwritten/typed but as per format.

Exam Pattern of Indian Army Soldiers Clerks Examination
Indian Army Soldiers Clerks Examination pattern basically comprises of two written papers as given under.

Paper I (Time: 45 minutes Max. Marks: 100)
The eligible candidates are called for a written test in
General Intelligence
Mathematical Aptitude
General Knowledge

Paper II (Time: 45 minutes Max. Marks: 100)
1. English (50 marks)
A Paragraph of about 15 sentences on one topic out of three or four topics. (20 marks)
Comprehension: A paragraph followed by 5 questions. (15 marks)
English Grammar: Common Errors. Narration, Voice, Articles, Propositions, Transformation of Sentences, etc. (15 marks)
2. Mathematics (50 marks)
There are 5 questions of 10 marks each. The questions are generally on Fractions, Percentage, Interest, Areas and Factorization.
