Hello everyone, I am 19 years old and I have given the Board exam of 12th standard with Commerce stream. I want to join Merchant Navy. Can you please let me know that what is the procedure for joining?

Being a 12th pass commerce student you are not eligible to join Merchant Navy.
The minimum qualification required to join Merchant Navy is that the candidate must have passed 10 + 2 with PCM stream with at least 60% marks.

Procedure to join Merchant Navy for 19 years old 12th commerce student:-

No, commerce student are not eligible for Merchant Navy exam .

Procedure for Merchant Navy exam:-
Written test, physical test, medical test personal interview.

Eligibility criteria for Merchant Navy exam:-
Those candidates who have passed 12th or an equivalent examination with physics, chemistry and mathematics from Central / State board or recognised school are eligible for merchant navy.

Your age should be below 20 years.

The eligibility criteria to join Merchant Navy are as under:-

The candidate should have passed 12th class or equivalent with physics, chemistry and mathematics from a recognised board.

Age limit is between 16 years to 25 years.

Candidate should be physically and mentally strong, fit for sea- services under standard norms.
Only unmarried male and female candidates can apply for merchant navy.

The candidate eye sight should be 6 by 6 without glasses.

Selection procedure:-
written exam, physical test, medical test, personal interview.
