HI!
After passing 12th with commerce steam you can not join Merchant navy.
You have can join other job like:-
> Indian Army
> Police Force
> Indian Railways
> Bank Clerk
etc

If you have passed 10+2 with Commerce then you are not eligible for Merchant Navy.

For Merchant Navy one must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths with very good marks.

So you to look at other options because you are not eligible for Merchant Navy.

The selection in Merchant Navy is based on the performance in the Written exam and Physical fitness test. The written will have questions from Maths and Physics. You are a commerce student hence you are not eligible to apply for it.

As a commerce students you have many other options to go for which are given below:

-B.Com

-BBA

-Law Courses

-Chartered Accountancy

There are many other fields also for which you can apply if you are interested. The admission into most of the top colleges is based on the entrance examination.

So opt for any course according to your interest.

You simply have no chance to make it into the Merchant Navy. Unfortunately commerce stream candidates are not eligible for any job. You simply can not apply for the courses that can get you job in merchant navy.

The most basic requirement to join Merchant Navy is 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates with this qualification can apply for the deck cadet in Merchant Navy.

Recruitment is done by various companies. You can apply for the job and if selected it would be mandatory to go through 3 months long pre sea training. Generally the company arranges this training for the candidate.

Those who want better jobs decides to continue with the studies. After 12th you have two options.

B.Sc Nautical Science

B.Tech Marine

In both cases the candidate should be from science stream. Unfortunately for you, commerce stream candidate can not apply for any of these courses. Therefore you are simply not eligible for the job in Merchant Navy. Here is the criteria to apply for these courses.


Eligibility

1. Must have passed 12th with PCM.

2. Age should not be more than 20 years.

3. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST.

4. Only unmarried candidates are eligible.


Apart from Marine Engineering, you can also apply for B.Tech in Mechanical/Technology/Electrical and apply for the job in Merchant Navy. In such case you will have to undergo 9 months long pre sea course in Marine Engineering.

I am sorry to say that after passing 12th with commerce you are not eligible to join Merchant Navy.

If you want to join then you have to pass 12th with Physics, chemistry and Maths.

If you want you have other option like>:-
> B.Com
> B.C.A
> B.B.A
> Law
> Hotel Management

It is nice that you want to join Merchant navy after 12th commerce.

Merchant navy is highly professional, highly interesting career and also the technical,advanced industry catering to million of people worldwide. This is one of most challenging and interesting career which you can pursue after 12th being a commerce stream student.

The duration of course is of 4 years. There are various institutes in India which conducts various courses related to Merchant Navy.

In order to join Indian merchant Navy you should be Unmarried.

In order to join Merchant Navy your age should be below 25 years.
but, for sc/st age relaxation 5 yrs
for obc : 3 years

But in order to join Merchant Navy you should have completed 12th class with science stream. You must have following subjects in 12th-

Maths
Physics
Chemistry
