Eligibility required for head constable post:

Candidates should be between 18 to 25 years of age as on 1 January 2010 for the posts of Assistant Sub Inspector as well as for the posts of Head Constable.

Educational Qualification required for head constable post:

Graduation from a recognized institute or university is required for the posts of Assistant Sub Inspector while 12th pass or equivalent is required for the posts of Head Constable.

QUALIFICATION For ASI/Steno and HC(Min)
Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent passed from
recognized board or university.

Skill Test Norm:
on Computer
1) For ASI(Steno) – Dictation : 10 mts @ 80 w.p.m. Translation: 50 mts(English),
65 mts (Hindi)
2) For HC(Min) – Typing on computer – 35 w.p.m in English (30 w.p.m for
SC/ST) or 30 wpm in Hindi.
Note: Typing speed test will be conducted only on
computers

U must have completed 10th class to apply for police constable posts.this is the minimum qualification
