Re: Scope of civil engineering in management line? Which sectors are beneficial?
You can choose management specialisation in operations if you want to work with larget civil firms. Or you could take other functions like marketing, finance, sales and techology depending on your areas of interest. Now MBA programs are also offered in niche areas like construction management.

Re: Scope of civil engineering in management line? Which sectors are beneficial?
Hai Probhakar,
A graduate in civil engineering has many options open without going for any master degree. A Bachelor degree holder in civil engineering usually gets employed in project works carried out by private construction company, railway, military , road projects, building works, etc. An MBA in any sector will take you on another road, so if professional engineering work is what you have always wanted to do then you are not required to do MBA. But, if you want to go for research or for teaching as a profession, a post graduate degree in engineering will be helpful and a degree in Business administration will be definitely useful for you if you want to be in managerial position in the related field. |
