Hello...well its good that you are preparing for GATE and IES exam.Both are objective type exam where it is conduct to see the capability in the students and if the students can clear the exam with good percentage marks than they will be placed in some highly renowned colleges for masters.You can purchase books like G.K.Publication,R.S.agrawal where its having solved question which will be helpful for your preparation.The eligibility criteria is that you must have minimum of degree certificate in B.E for gate in any course and for IES you should have minimum of degree certificate in B.E under the following course.Mechanical engineering,Electrical engineering,Civil engineering and Electronics and telecommunication engineering.Prepare well for it and you can make it through.

I want to ask that whether cracking PSU's through self study is easy or not.One should whether require a coaching or not .To qualify in these exams one should focus on which subject more as I am from Electricals and Electronic branch.I am also preparing for software tests also so please guide me.How much hours one should study in a day to beat these competitions.Do foreign writers books require for yhese competitions.
