Re: Steps to become an Excise Inspector for 12th Commerce student?
In order to become an Excise inspector in the department concerned the candidates need to undergo the SSC CGL examination. The examination is three fold consisting prelims and mains written examination along with personal interview round of the candidates. The candidates need to pass the prelims examination with adequate cutoff marks in order to scale up to the mains written examination which is way togher and critical than the prelims examination.
They should be in the age of 18 to 27 years in order to become eligible for the recruitment process. |

To become Excise Inspector you have to appear and qualify in the entrance examination.
Examination is conducted by UPSC for selection as an officer, as well as by SSC for recruitment in Excise department. The required minimum qualification is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. The age limit to appear in examination varies with examination. SSC and UPSC conduct examination for selection in the Excise department.
So, you have to appear and qualify in various stages of examination for the final selection. The minimum required eligibility to appear for SSC CGL or UPSC CSE examination is that :- Candidate must have passed bachelor degree from any recognised university. The age limit varies with examination and relaxation for reserved category. So, you are not eligible to appear in the examination with only 12th qualification. |
