There are two ways to join Indian Military Academy the first one is to to appear in NDA examination after 12th standard and for that you have to opt for PCM stream in 11th standard.

The another way is to join Indian military through CDS examination conducted by UPSC after your graduation.

You must study class 12th with maths as one of the subject if you are looking to join Indian Military Academy, which is possible through UPSC CDS exam conducted for graduates. You must have degree in the same or it's related field too.

Selection will be on the basis of written exam and SSB interview conducted by UPSC. Age should be between 19 to 23 if you are looking to join Indian Military Academy. For OTA (Officers Training Academy) the age limit is 19 to 25 years.

Further to join IMA, the minimum education required is a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised board of education.
