If you have 12th standard OR graduation degree then you are applicable for VAO exam but you age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide as per govt rule But you must know the Tamil language.

VAO Exam Details:-

~Tamilnadu Public Service Commission conducts an examination to recruit the Village Administrative Officers whenever there is a vacancy for the same. To give this exam certain eligibility criteria needs to be satisfied. Some of them have been listed below:-

~To give this exam you need a secondary school leaving certificate. In short you need to be a 10th pass out. Even if you have higher qualifications that will be considered only when you have this certificate to show.

~Your age should not be less than 18 years when applying for this exam since that is the minimum age limit for giving this exam. This rule is binding on all categories. The upper age limit for general category candidates is 30 years. There is age relaxation for the reserved category candidates.

~You need to be well versed in Tamil language because you will be posted in the villages of Tamilandu. You can give the exam if you dont know this language but in that case you have to sit for Tamil language exam which is also conducted by TNPSC and pass in it.

~It is expected that only physically fit candidates will sit for the exam. Therefore to prove your medical fitness you need to show the authorities concerned medical certificates during exam time.

~The selection procedure is primarily dependent on the written examination and therefore your target should be to score as many marks as possible to stay in contention. Higher the marks, more will be your chances of making it to the next level of selection.

~For the exam you need to stress on the following sections: General Knowledge and General Tamil/General English. The first paper is bilingual and the second paper is optional. Your preference needs to be stated in the application form itself.

~Questions will be of S.S.L.C. standard. For general category candidates the cost of the application form is Rs. 125 and for the reserved category candidates it is Rs. 50.

TNPSC VAO is the popular examination in India. TNPSC organized this examination every year and get response with large no. of application. TNPSC VAO organizes a single paper for General knowledge, General English/Tamil. Total marks for VAO written examination is 300 marks having 200 questions and each section ( G.K & G.E/Tamil) have 150 marks. Examination name - TNPSC VAO 2012

The exam will be asked on the topics related to the subjects in General Knowledge, General English and Tamil. Therefore the candidate must prepare themselves well in these subjects.

Section – 2 ( each 150 marks )
There will be two sections in the Exam, each section is carrying 150 marks.

Time duration – 3 hours
The time duration for the exam is 3 hours.

Minimum marks for qualify – 90 marks
The aspirants have to achieve a minimum of 90 marks in order to qualify this exam.
