VAO Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

~Tamilnadu Public Service Commission conducts an exam to recruit the Village Administrative Officers. The exam is popularly known as the TNPSC VAO Exam. To sit for this exam following eligibility criteria needs to be satisfied:-

~You need to have a secondary school leaving certificate. In other words you need to be a minimum 10th pass out. Even if you are highly qualified you need to show this certificate. It is mandatory.

~While applying for this exam your age should not be less than 21 years. The upper age limit for general category candidate is 30 years.

~For the reserved category candidates there is age relaxation. The upper age limit for them is 40 years.

~Selection procedure is solely based on the written exam so your target should be to get as many marks as possible in the written exam.

~The written exam mainly comprises of one single paper where there will be two sections for you to answer. The first section general knowledge is bilingual. So you will get to answer in either Tamil or English. The second paper is bilingual and you need to state your preferences in the application form itself.

~You need to answer all total 200 questions in 3 hours and 150 marks have been allotted for each section. Out of the total marks allotted you need to secure minimum 90 marks to qualify. On failing to do that you will be disqualified.

~It is important for you to know Tamil language fluently since on getting selected you will be posted in the districts of Tamilnadu.

~While giving the exam you should be physically fit. To prove your fitness medical certificates needs to be shown to the authorities concerned at the time of exam.
