For Genetics Engineering admission , You will have to choose science stream in 11th class with either biology or maths subjects.

Eligibility
- You must have passed (10+2) in science stream from a recognized board.
- You also need to qualify the entrance exam JEE with a good score.

For pursuing Genetic Engineering in future, you can opt anyone of the Mathematics or Biology in your 10+2 and 10+1 studies.

Actually, both the subjects are equally important for studying Genetic Engineering.

However, it would be better if you pursue PCMB stream in 11th class.

PCMB contains Mathematics and Biology both to study in 10+2.

The studies of these two subjects will greatly help you in understanding the basic concepts of Genetic Engineering.
