i m doing BDS, After this i want to go for RAS exams. Which subject i can take for pre and mains. Sunil verma

II. Optional Subjects :

6. Indian History - I 100
7. Indian History - II 100
8. European History 100
9. Economics - I 100
10. Economics - II 100
11. Statistics 100
12. Auditing & Accountancy 100
13. Commerce 100
14. Political Science 100
15. Indian Constitutional History & Law 100
16. Moral Philosophy & Metaphysics 100
17. Indian Philosophy 100
18. Psychology 100
19. Pure Mathematics 100
20. Applied Mathematics 100
21. Physics 100
22. Chemistry 100
23. Botany 100
24. Zoology 100
25. Geology 100
26. Geography 100

you can choose any of them as optional but i would prefer you choose pub. adm subject since its syllabus lies in range of general knowledge . It would be advantageous. Choose two languages and two optional subjects for main exam.

For preliminary exam there are two papers, compulsory and optional. Compulsory subjects are general science, general knowledge and one optional subject. The optional subjects include Agriculture, Geology, Agricultural Engineering, Home Science, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary science, Indian History,Botany,Law,Chemistry,Mathematics,Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,Commerce,Mining Engineering, Crop Husbandry with Horticulture,Philosophy,Computer Engineering,Physics,Computer Science, Political Science, Dairy Processing & Technology,Psychology,Economics,Public Administration, Electrical Engineering,Sociology,Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering,Statistics,Geography,Zoology.Both the subjects are of 200 marks. The main exam has compulsory papers general knowledge and general science, general knowledge of Rajasthan society ,art and culture, general Hindi and general English and the optional subjects chosen by the candidates an d each optional subject will have two papers.

The subjects can be chosen by the candidates for their convenient. If you are belongs to life science field then must choose these subjects.
As you are doing BDS then you must select the related field of BDS.

There are so many subjects you can choose,It is no problem to get admission in RAS
However,the examination is of two papers.

1>Compulsory Subject
2>Optional Subject.

Compulsory Subject consists of
English(General English,General Essay),General Sc.,General Knowledge,General everyday Sc.

Optional Subjects consists of so many subjects,you can choose one of those,some subjects are:

1. Physics
2. Chemistry
3. Botany
4. Zoology
5. Geology
6.Applied Mathematics
7.Animal Husbandry
8.Veterinary science etc....

What is the inter-relation having history and philosophy in ras pre and mains.
