Re: Which subjects are required for IPS/IAS exam? How many papers are there?
Dear pal,
It is not like you should choose a particular degree for applying for the civil service exam. You can apply for it provided you have completed the degree course or if you are in final year. The degree course can be either three or four year course. The aptitude exam is common for all those who are applying for the exam. On clearing it the aspirant will be eligible for the main exam in which you need to appear in 9 optional subject. The various optional subject are civil engineering, geology, botany, zoology, physics, history, geography, animal husbandry, political science, commerce, economics etc. the aspirant can choose any nine papers from the list and appear in it. The aspirant need to secure minimum marks in order to clear the exam. The aspirant clearing the main exam will be called for the final stage of selection namely personnel interview. |
