IFS Botany (Paper II) Papers
The service of Indian Forest services is a very challenging one and only those candidates should opt for this exam who like challenges and adventures. IFS exam is conducted every year and lots of students appear for this exam as they have to fulfill their long cherished dreams. To clear this exam, a candidate will require very hard work along with right approach and mindset for this exam. IFS exam has two compulsory subjects, General English and General Knowledge, and fourteen Optional subjects, of which only two subjects are to be selected by a candidate. Botany is also an optional subject.
How the paper looks like?
In Botany (Paper II) paper there are 8 questions of 40 marks each. Out of this 8 questions a candidates is required to answer only 5 questions. Question 1 from Section A and question 5 from section B are compulsory for every student. Question 1 and 5 have 4 questions of 10 marks each. Other questions have generally 2 questions of 20 marks each. A candidate can answer only in English and no other regional languages are allowed.
Maximum marks and time duration?
The full marks of the paper are 200 and time allowed is 3 hours. Maximum marks for each of the questions to be attempted is 40.
