KPSC conducts KAS exam every year. There are many subjects of specialization. The syllabus for the specialization subject can be obtained from the official website. The candidate has to appear for compulsory test in English and Kannada. This paper consists of four parts Kannada, English, two papers in general studies. The structure of this paper can be obtained from the website.

Sample papers are not available in the net syllabus for KAS 2012 exam: There are two papers in KAS (prelims)exam. Each paper consist two parts Paper I: part I: national /International/ current affairs Part II: Humanities/srts/history Ppaer II: Part I: general knowledge partr II: science & technology , environment & ecology KAS mains exam pattern : It is a descriptive paper It consist total 8 papers. KAS (Prelims) Exam Pattern--
There are two papers in KAS (Prelims) Examper – I & Paper – II. Each paper contains two parts. Part – I & Part – II. The questions will be in both Kannada & English. 20 questions carry 400 marks. Paper – I : Part – I (National / International / Current Affairs) Part – II (Humanities / Arts / History) Part – I contains 40 questions from National & International current affairs carries 80 marks in total. Part – II contains 60 questions from humanities, Arts & History carries 120 marks in total. So from both the parts, Paper – I contains 100 questions that carry 200 marks. Paper – II : Part – I (General Knowledge / Karnataka State Current Affairs) Part – II (Science & Technology, Environment & Ecology / General Mental Ability) Part – I contains 40 questions from General Knowledge / Karnataka State current affairs carries 80 marks in total. Part – II contains 30 questions from Science & Technology carries 60 marks & 30 questions related to General Mental Ability carrying 60 marks totaling 120 marks. KAS stands for (Karnataka Administrative Service)KAS exam is almost same as IAS exam

KAS means KARNATAKA ADMINISTRATION SERVICES KAS is conducted every year by Karnataka public service commision (KPSC) It is divided into three parts: PART I-PRELIMINARY EXAM PART II-MAIN EXAMINATION PART III-PERSONALITY TEST PART I Syllabus:- Paper I:
Total marks:80+120=200 Paper II:
Total marks:80+60+60=200 PART II Syllabus: Paper I:KANNADA Paper II:ENGLISH Paper III&IV:GENERAL STUDIES Paper V,VI,VII&VIII: Two subjects to be selected from the list of optional subject. Each subject will have two papers ALL THE BEST |
