I am a female candidate and my age is 39 years. I have completed B.Ed and providing private tuition from last 10 years. Am I eligible to apply for government teacher jobs? How can I apply for such vacancies?

To get the teaching job in government school candidates have to appear and qualify in the CTET/TET examination.

There is no age limit to appear for the CTET while for the TET the age limit differ with state.

CTET is conducted by NTA for recruitment as government teacher in primary, TGT as well as PGT.

So, if you have the required educational qualification for examination. You are eligible to appear in the examination.

best way to become a government teacher is to appear for TET Exam(Teachers Eligibility Test). there is no upper age limit for TET however the lower age limit is 17 years. generally the notification for TET exam will release in the month of february every year.

There is not age limit to apply for the CTET examination for government school teachers.
There is lower limit restriction of 17 years i.e candidate should be of 17 years to apply for the examination and there is no upper limit any age candidate can apply for CTET examination.

Maximum Age limit:-

Primary Teacher-30 years

Trained Graduate Teacher- 35 years

Post Graduate Teacher- 40.years
