Yes. Age Relaxation available of 5 years to ST candidates. IAF provides ample career opportunities for the post of Airmen in either technical or non-technical trades.

Eligibility For Airmen
- You must be Indian Citizen.
- You must be unmarried male candidate.

Group X (Technical Trade)
- You must have passed (10+2) with PCM subjects with at least 50% from a recognized university.
- Age should be between 16 to 22 years.

Group X (Non-Technical)

For Teacher
- You must have passed B.A. or B.Sc with 1 year experience from a recognized university.
- Age should be between 20 to 25 years.

For Technical Instructor
- You must have passed M.A. or M.Sc from a recognized university.
- Age should be between 20 to 27 years.

For Group Y or Z (Technical or Non-Technical)
- You must have passed matriculation or equivalent education with English subject from a recognized board.
- Age should be between 16 to 20 years.

Physical Standards
- Height : 165 cms for Mechanical Transport Driver, 175 cms for IAF Police, 167 cms for Technical Instructor and Musicians
- Chest : Minimum expanded chest 75 cms
- Vision : Minimum corrected vision at least 6/12 in each eye.
- You should have normal hearing from a distance 6 meters in each ear individually.
- You should have healthy gums and good sets of teeth.

Become An Airmen
- When notification appears for the post of Airmen, Apply for Airmen.
- Appear and Qualify the entrance exam.
- After qualifying the written test, Go through medical test.
- On clearing selection stages, Merit List will be displayed. Depending on your position in merit list, You will be assigned to Technical or Non-Technical trade in Airmen.
