Is there an entrance exam for integrated MBA course at VIT vellore?

VITBS provides a general MBA and an MBA in International Business. Both the programs are similar in terms of their mode of study and exam systems. MBA from VIT is a two year, full time residential program. Candidates need to be in the Chennai Campus of VIT. It is a trimester program and follows a Fully Flexible Credit System (FFCS). This system allows candidate to choose the disciplines they wish to study and specialize in. There is a list of elective courses and schedules for students to choose from. Also, this credit system involves a number of projects, internships and industry visits.

Also, all students pursuing an MBA at VIT must own a laptop. A candidate can also buy laptops provided by the University.

>>Admission Process for MBA at VITBS follows a simple pattern. To apply online, candidates can log on to the VIT website, www.vit.ac.in. To complete the application process, candidates must send a copy of their valid scorecards to the address given in the VIT application brochure.

>>For a successful application, candidates must have appeared for any of the required exams â€" CAT/MAT/XAT or GMAT. Valid scores for any of these exams need to be attached with the VIT application. The last date for 2013 session applications is March 11, 2013.

>>Shortlisted candidates will have to go through the GD-PI rounds at various centers - Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Madurai, Patna, Ranchi and Vellore, to be precise. Selected candidates need to pay a non-refundable, deposit fee of Rs. 10, 000 on the same day.

Indian nationals who have completed their graduation from an Indian college or university should fulfill the following criteria:

He/she should have a valid CAT / XAT / MAT / GMAT score.

Candidates must have pursued a full time graduation program.

The institute or university of graduation should be recognized.

The candidate must have scored a minimum of 60 percent in graduation.

Academic records for X and XII should be consistent.

Per annum tuition for an MBA program at VIT Business School is Rs. 1, 50, 000. Additionally, a special fee amount of Rs. 65, 000 per annum will cover Examination Fee, Library Fee, etc, which makes the grand total for each year to be Rs. 2, 15, 000. Besides this amount, there are small one time payments like the Admission Fee and Caution Deposit.

Candidates for International Business program will need to pay an additional fee of Rs. 45, 000 at the time of admission, for the compulsory Overseas Experiential Learning Programme (

OELP).
