I am doing b.tech.i want 2 apply for psu.that's why i want 2 know lower age limit.

lower age limit for psu is 18 years.

minimum age is 4 th year b tech ,it is 20-21

Dear friend,

The eligibility criteria of age for applying in PSU is 21 to 30 years.

For SC/STs and OBC upper age limit is releasable ie 5 and 3 years.


And they can serve up to the age of 58 years and some companies allow up to the age of 60 years depending upon the post.

Age Limit
i. A candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.
ii. The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below:
a. upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST.
b. upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes.
c. upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate had been domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir during the period between January 1, 1980 and December 31, 1989.
d. upto a maximum of 3 years in the case of Defence Services personnel disabled during hostilities with foreign countries or in a disturbed area and consequently released.
e. upto a maximum of 5 years in the case of ex-servicemen including Commissioned Officers and ECOs / SSCOs who have rendered at least five years Military Service as on August 1 of the year of examination and have been released:
on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year from August 1 of the year of examination) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency, or
on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service, or
on invalidment.
f. upto a maximum of 5 years in the case of ECOs / SSCOs who have completed an initial period of assignment (5 years Military Service) as on August 1 of the year of examination and whose assignment has been extended beyond 5 years. Such candidates will have to provide a certificate from the Ministry of Defence stating that they can apply for civil employment and they will be released on a notice of 3 months, upon selection, from the date of receipt of offer of appointment.
g. upto a maximum of 10 years in the case of blind, deaf-mute and orthopaedically handicapped candidates.

There is no such lower age limit defined for any PSU.But as per rule undertaken by Govt of India, the candidates must be above 18 years.

Since you are a B.Tech student,you must be aware of PSU's like
NALCO , PGCIL , NTPC etc.
Each PSU conducts it's own exam .
Some of the PSU's allow B.Tech students to appear the exam in their final year.

So, there is no particular lower age limit .
You need to be at least in the final year of your B.Tech career to apply for the exam or you may have got your degree.
By this time,you must have attained 20 - 21 years of age.

PSUs are government undertaking companies
students from a technical background can apply in technical service providing companies, i.e. BSNL, MTNL, SAIL, NHAI, NTPC, BHEL, ONGC, IOCL, HPCL, BPCL .

eligibility-

-You Have To Passed In Your Bachelor Degree Because Graduation Is the Minimum Eligiblity, If You Are Interested To Apply for PSU Exams.

- Graduates in Engineering,
Technology in Civil,
Chemical,
Electrical,
Instrumentation,
Mechanical and
Electronics And Telecommunications
Discipline From a Recognised University Are Eligible to Apply for PSU Examination.

Upper age limit: 27 years for Graduates
there is no lower age limit, you need to have only the bachelor degree.

As you are continuing B.tech that means after completion of B.tech you must be 21 or 22 yrs. So there is no problem for preparing for PSU exam. The lower age limit is more than 18 years and You must be a degree holder.

i m mohit nd i m doing b-tech. i want to know the lower age limit to b appear in the exam of any psu
