what is the total number of seats for mca in tancet exam and how many students appeared for tancet entrance

Dear the number of seats may be increase this years but previously it was 200.

There are 60,000 students appear every year in TANCET examination. But the total
number of seats in MCA is 60 in anna university. But 14 seats are reserved for SC and
ST students as well as 10 seats are reserved for MBC students and 18 seats are reserved for BC students and rest availiable seats are availiable for general candidates.

So, there are only 60 seats in TANCET exams for MCA students. If you want to get more

I just checked the TANCET official brochure and there is no info given about the no of seats and none knows the no of students answering TANCET

So i guess these detail about the seat will be given away once the counseling details are out.So you need to wait for some time

There are 60 (Approx) seats in Anna University for MCA, but TANCET is conducted by Anna University on behalf of Karnatake Government so there are various institutes under TANCET and each have some seats for MCA so it cant be said unless councelling and seat allotment is over.

Since the TANCET exam is conducted by anna university with the help of karnataka government ,so the seats cannot be predicted unless you see the application booklet.

The details of all the colleges must be given in the application booklet.So go for it.

Thanks for the information that Anna university has 60 seats. But now there are 6 anna universities in various towns of Tamilnadu. Does each college will get sixty or altogether 60?

Applications are invited for the TANCET 2011 to be conducted by Anna University Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu on _______ from candidates who seek admission to 1. M.B.A., 2. M.C.A. A and 3. M.E. / M.Tech., / M.Arch. / M.Plan. Degree programmes in Tamil Nadu for the year 2011-2012 offered at University Departments of Anna University Chennai, Anna University Coimbatore, Anna University Trichy, Anna University, Tirunelveli, Govt. Engineering, Arts and Science Colleges, Govt. Aided Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges, and Govt. Quota seats in self-financing Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges / standalone Institutions. Some Universities and Self–Financing Engineering Colleges may also opt to admit the students on the basis of TANCET for their quota of seats.
Other State candidates can appear for the entrance tests but, admission is subject to the eligibility conditions of the admitting authority / University.



MCA: A pass in any degree with 10 + 2 + 3/4 years pattern with Mathematics at + 2 level or Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level or a pass in 10 + 3 (Diploma) + 3 years pattern with Mathematics at Diploma level or Mathematics / Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.
