i want to do PhD in Englissh. I have completed MA from Kuru kshetra university and i have secured only 52 % marks. Can i do PhD from New delhi? University should be recognized by UGC. even it may through distance education. even from faridabad, Gurgaon, Noida, Punjab, Haryana or wetern UP. i need help for it. If PhD is not possible than can i do M.Phill, but i don't have 55% marks in MA. kindly guide me. thanksssss

I am from Mumbai & have completed my M. Phil in English from Madrai Kamaraj University and MA from Mumbai University prior to that. I wish to pursue Ph D. Is it compulsory to appear for PET?

please provide the name of university where phd in english from distant education is available. university must be approved by ugc.

Those students who got below 55% in any PG Course can't apply neither in M Phil nor in PhD according to UGC norms. My best suggestion to those students who got below 55% should change their respective fields or make another try in their respective fields....

u can do from aqsa ins. which is in lko. fees is very less result 100%.regular degree with job mail [email protected]

students with percentage below 55% cannot apply for any phd or m.phil course.ugc doesnt allow it.

you can do phd without mphil even with 48% i got it this way from a uinversity under ugc through a company ,you can contact them at [email protected]

UGC recognised M/Phil and PhD in any subject by correspondence is not available anywhere in India. To get admission you should have 55%(50% for SC/ST) as a regular student. Correspondence degree holders cannot pursue MPhil/PhD even if the % are more than 55%.
In India they will give you degree by correspondence,(University will make money and you will lose your money for a useless piece of paper, the degree certificate- you are untouchable for pursuing MPhil/PhD will that ever change ..If NaMo becomes the PM there may be hope)) but if you apply with it for any job / or any regular studies in 99% cases,you will be looked up on as inferior even if you got 100% marks. I could not understand why it is so!

I M POSTGRADUATE IN ENGLISH ND I HAVE ALSO QUALIFIED NET JRF IN ENGLISH WITH 80 PERCENT MARKS..WHICH UNIVERSITIES IS BETTER FOR ME TO DO PH.D ENGLISH ND SIMULTANEOUSLY I MAY ALSO GET DAT SCHOLARSHIP IN FORM OF JRF
