In order to take National Eligibility Test in Economics, you must hold a masters degree or equivalent qualification in Economics or related field, awarded by a recognized university and must have scored a minimum of 55% marks in the same.
For candidates belonging to SC and ST category, the required percentage of marks is 50%.

The National Eligibility Test is conducted by University Grant Commission two times a year and candidate holding the required qualification may apply either in the month of June or December of any given year.
