Karnataka State Open University was formally established on June 1, 1996 under the Karnataka State Open University Act of 1992

Karnataka State Open University is approved by UGC.karnataka state open university( KSOU) is not approved by AICTE (All India council of technical education)

So if you want to do your B-Tech degree then i think your degree is not valid .Because technical degree required AICTE approval.

The KSOU or the Karnataka State Open University is approved by the UGC and thus all commercial or managerial related courses are safe to take and have the validity across all India.
But the technical courses like the engineering degrees of B.Tech are not right to take at this stage as the university has not yet been approved by the AICTE which is the council that approves or disapproves any or all technical courses offered.
