I am an b.tech,computer science second year student in an private institute (mdu). I wanted to know the various career options after my b.tech and the various exams for which i am eligible and prepare for and also i wanted to know various fields in which i can go..

there are lots of oppurtunity for you after completing it.

you can work both in private as well as gov.sectors.

however due to reccession market is somewhat bleak.you might not get wonderfull salary at starting level it 8000-12000.

however after few years of experience figure are handsome.

dont worry just complete your course.

you can prepare for GATE,MBA,
better go for an MBA.
or you can join some it firm like TCS,INFOSYS,.WIPRO

the course you have done is required in every kind for firm.......there is always vacancies for a comp graduate......but if u want to continue studying then u shold probably go for m.tech in computer field......

Since you are a computer science student can get jobs in IT fields and software fields irrespective of recession because talented ones are always valued and can have a better future and more than that you can even continue with your higher studies like doing masters in computer science or management or any field of ur wish.

As you are a comp student you can go for MBA,... (comp+MBA)
you can also appear for government exams,....

It depends on ur interest. If u want to study further try for Mtech/MBA.
If not this year u can try for a job, that will give u good experience and will also enhance ur resume.

You can go in any field related to the computer science engineering and also give the exam like IAS, GATE, CAT, MAT, AND CDS.

there are options in getting good opportunities in industries like wipro,tcs,satyam,infosys if you are in search of job otherwise there are other options of applying for gate ......or you can prepare for mba...

if you are doing b.tech from computer science , then you may go for mca. because mca is computer related course, then you have a master in computer field and you get a fully knowledge in computer field.

BTech/MSc(computer science)/MCA are equivalent degree.....

1)you may try in various BPO/KPO for work of programmer/administrator/data-base manager
2)apply in banks for IT officer
3)apply in banks for probationary officer and AAO in insurance company
4)apply as computer assistant in various governement jobs
5)many private engineering college recruit BTech as lecturer provided they have cleared GATE

after b.tech computer science you can go for job in a software company or you can do ms or mtech

I suggest you to complete your Mtech, it is good for you in future.......

i don't know how much you are interested in ..but i think after yr b tech...u can think of m.b.a...

a lot of opportunities are waiting for you.
just finish your course successfully with good sgpa and be apt in languages like c,c++,java and others.
after completing your course you can join any IT firm according to campus basis.
otherwise you can sit for GATE to do M-TECH(higher studies).
or sit for mat,cat,snap,jmat,gre etc exams for more qualification and for better option in future.
so don't be worry or tensed.
the market is now ascending towards its better position.
