As you know that in defence there three forces.
1.indian army 2.indian navy and 3.indian air force and they have also differnt entries in differnt catagories like on the basis of 10th,12th and I.T.I and after graduation. So, there age should be maintain but the essential thing to all entries of defence except NDA whose age should be minimum 18 to 23 |

The age limit required for defence services is 16.5 years to 19.5 years.
It also varies from exam to exam. The candidate must have passed class 12th with a minimum of 60% in aggregate with mathematics and english as a language. (Or have passed in any other equivalent examination.) |

There are certain jobs which have individual age limits, based on the physically demanding nature of the role. For example, the age range for entry as an Army Commando is 19 to 30 years.
For Indian Military academy: Only male unmarried candidates with 19-24 years of age are eligible. For Naval academy: Only male unmarried candidates with 19-22 years of age are eligible. For Air force academy: Only male unmarried candidates with 19-23 years of age are eligible. For Officer's training academy: Unmarried or married male candidates with 19-25 years of age are eligible. |

Its nice to see that you want to join the Defense Services. There are two ways through which candidates like you can join the Indian Defense Services. These are : 1) NDA Examination 2) CDS Examination The Union Public Service Commission conducts the NDA & the CDS Exam every year on behalf of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Both these examinations are conducted twice in a year. The NDA Exam is conducted as NDA-I and NDA-II in the months of April and August every year whereas the CDS Exam is conducted as CDS-I and CDS-II in the months of February and September. The NDA Examination gives the opportunity to join the following wings of Indian Defense : 1) Indian Army 2) Indian Navy 3) Indian Air Force On the Other Hand, The CDS Exam gives the opportunity to join the following wings of Indian Defense : 1) Indian Military Academy 2) Naval Academy 3) Air Force Academy 4) Officer`s Training Academy The Required Age Limit for NDA Exam : >> The candidate must have an age in between 16.5-19 years. >> No Relaxation in upper age is given to any candidate no matter they belong to any category. If you are interested to join in the defence services,then you can join after completing your 12th from a recognised board by appearing for the NDA exam and even after completing your graduation from a recognised university by appearing for the CDS exam. **Age Limit for NDA :- To be eligible to appear for the NDA exam you must have the age of above 16.5 years and not above 19 years. You must have to complete your 12th or equivalent from a recognised board/institute. You must be a citizen of India. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to appear for the NDA exam. **Age Limit for CDS :- 1.Indian Military Academy :- 19-24 years 2.Air Force Academy :- 19-23 years 3.Naval Academy :- 19-22 years 4.Officer's Training Academy :- 19-25 years You must have to complete the graduation degree from a recognised university.
