It seems that you are Interested to apply for Defence Examination to Join Indian Defence, Firstly I have to informed you that, you can enter into Defence by These Examinations :

>> National Defence Academy Examination
>> Combined Defence Academy Examination
>> 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme
>> AFCAT Examination

The Eligibility Criteria and Age eligibility are vary form Exam to Exam.

>> For NDA Examination, you have to complete your 12Th examination and your age should between 16.5 to 19 Years

>> For CDS Examination your age should between 19 to 25 years and you have to complete your Graduate degree course from a recognised University.

>> For Technical Entry Scheme, your age should between 16.5 to 19.5 Years and you have to scored minimum 70% Marks in your Physics, Chemistry and Maths in your 12Th examination.

For AFCAT Examination you have to complete your Graduate degree course with minimum 60% marks and then you may apply for these Branches :

>>> For Flying Branch, you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks and you must have study maths and Physics as a compulsory Subjects in your 12th examination.

>> For Technical Branch, You have to complete your Engineering Graduate degree course in mechanical and Electronics with minimum 60% Marks.

>> For Ground Duty Branch, You have to complete your Graduate degree course in Commerce with minimum 60% Marks or Completed your Post graduate degree course with minimum 50% marks from a recognized University.

Age Eligibility :

As you know that in defence there three forces.
1.indian army
2.indian navy and
3.indian air force
and they have also differnt entries in differnt catagories like on the basis of 10th,12th and I.T.I and after graduation.
So, there age should be maintain but the essential thing to all entries of defence except NDA whose age should be minimum 18 to 23

The age limit required for defence services is 16.5 years to 19.5 years.
It also varies from exam to exam.
The candidate must have passed class 12th with a minimum of 60% in aggregate with mathematics and english as a language. (Or have passed in any other equivalent examination.)

HI,
There are two ways to join Indian Defence Service:-
> N.D.A
> C.D.S

If you want to join after after 12th then you have to qualify the N.D.A exam.
If you want to join after passing the graduation then you have to qualify the C.D.S exam.

Both N.D.A and C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

For N.D.A exam your age limit should be in between 16.5-19 year.
For C.D.S exam age should be in between 19-24 year.

2. CDS{Combined Defence Service}

For NDA Exam:->


AGE limit:

• Your should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

Educational qualification :

• You should have passed 12th standard from recognized central/state board or school.
  
• 12th appearing candidate also eligible for NDA exam.
  
• There is no restriction on 12th percentage.

NDA is for unmarried Male candidates only.

You can join in Indian Defence through CDSE , NDA ,UES scheme .The age criteria of those exam is given below.

There is age relaxation for SC|ST|OBC category but in the case of NDA exam there is no relaxation for age.

Maximum no of these exam is conducted by UPSC.

There are certain jobs which have individual age limits, based on the physically demanding nature of the role. For example, the age range for entry as an Army Commando is 19 to 30 years.

For Indian Military academy:
Only male unmarried candidates with 19-24 years of age are eligible.

For Naval academy:
Only male unmarried candidates with 19-22 years of age are eligible.
For Air force academy:

Only male unmarried candidates with 19-23 years of age are eligible.

For Officer's training academy:

The Union Public Service Commission conducts the NDA & the CDS Exam every year on behalf of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Both these examinations are conducted twice in a year.

The NDA Exam is conducted as NDA-I and NDA-II in the months of April and August every year whereas the CDS Exam is conducted as CDS-I and CDS-II in the months of February and September.
