After 12th you have to complete you graduation course like:-
> B.COM
> B.B.A

etc

After graduation you can apply for I.A.S exam.
I.A.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Age should be in between 21-30 year. For ST/SC candidate age should be in between 21-33 year.

b.a
b.sc
mpcs
mpc groups

12th is not eligible for become I.A.S jobs
after degree you can eligible and apply to groups1,groups 2 exams
in groups you got good rank then next round go to interview round,
in an interview round you selected then you got your role like i.a.s officer
age limit 18years to 28 years and age relaxation for sc/st candidates.
this jobs notification conducting every two years.

I am sorry to say that you cannot directly apply for IAS exam without having a Bachelor's degree in hand as it the minimum criterion.

twice , many candidates apply for this exam to go for
indias most respected posts like IPS,IFS etc ..
eligibility criteria for this exam :-
-the candidate must have graduation degree in any field
like B.TECH, B.SC,B.COM,B.A etc as their is no % of marks is
required but atleast you have to secure 55% of marks .
-regarding the age limit , the candidate age must lie in
between 21yrs-30yrs.
-the OBC candidates have priveledge regarding their age
limit as they have 3 yrs age relaxation and sc/st

There is no specific rule to select the subjects in your 12th or Degree you can just go with your interest

As you're just a student of 12th don't need concentrate that seriously on the preparation for IAS because this is the exam which will be written after your Graduation you just need to have this attitude for your future goal

you should do these things so that they will help you when you start your orginal preparation

->follow all the news paper daily's get updated with all the issues do the deep research and make some points and maintain some note book

There is no specific course to do after completion of 12th to become an IAS officer. Graduates from any discipline are eligible to become an IAS officer.

IAS - Indian Administrative Service, to become an IAS officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation fro reserved candidate.

So after 12th you can purse any stream in which you are comfortable and at least one year rigorous practice is must before sitting for the Civil Service Exam.

To appear in the IAS exam you need the graduation degree in any stream. So first complete the graduation degree in any stream and then think about the IAS exam.

You can opt for any course if your intention is to appear for the Civil Services Examination. There isn't any particular course which is accepted for the Civil Services Examination.

In fact any graduation degree is accepted by the Union Public Service Commission which actually conducts this entrance exam. Therefore you can appear for any course of your preference.

Since you are from commerce stream, Bachelor of Commerce is one of the suitable courses for you. Other options will be Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Computer Applications.

Once you have completed graduation degree, fill the form to appear for the Civil Services Examination for Indian Administrative Service. You will have to wait till early part of the year for the forms to be released by the Union Public Service Commission.

You will have to give 8 to 10 months of time for preparations for the Civil Services Examination. Since there is stiff competition, anything less than this would not be sufficient enough.


IAS Eligibility Criteria

1. Only Indian citizens get selected for IAS.

2. Bachelor degree in any stream will be accpeted.

3. There is no percentage issue.

for IAS you must have to be a graduate or in the final year of graduation. As a commerce student you can do any degree course like bba,ba and ca. Simply you need a degree from any recognised college or university. Then you are eligible for the civil service exam. The colleges are in du,ku and in all india. Thanku

* I would recommend you to undergo your bachelor's either in history or geography as the exam attempts a huge number of questions from these wide topics.

* Also, i would recommend you to do any course in correspondence as it would improve your knowledge.

* You must be very thorough with the current affairs, English, history, geography, logical ability and critical thinking.

You should be Indian
You age should be between 21 -30
no minimum marks required

You can go for any course in graduation.
Try to score good marks in graduation as it would give you competitive advantage

So go with your instinct and decide on a course which you are interested in as the eligibility criteria of IAS exam suggests that for IAS exam you need to be a graduate. Now in which subject you choose to do that seems irrelevant here.

IAS abbreviated as Indian Administrative Service , exam is conducted by UPSC.
Basic qualification for the test is Graduation in any stream, and age limit is:-
