hi im swetha .i had finished my b-pharmacy from rguhs in nov 2009,n im planning to continue my pharma mba at niper , as there is no gate2010 for pharmacy which is the criteria to get admission in niper.which is the similar exam as gate to get eligibilityfor niper jee 2010.

For persuing MBA from NIPMER now you have to appear for an common entrance test (CET).

Since,gate will be not conducted for m.pharma courses,the authority will conduct a new gate like exam,however the it is still pending on the HRD Ministter's desk.Details will be announced soon after its approval.

Dont worry since,you have to persue mba just prepare and appear for cet.

you should have 60% aggregate in B.Pharmacy..........you can obtain the application forms in person or by post by sending a request for the form to NIPER, Mohali. you have to send the filled form along with copies of their NET/GATE scorecard..........

important dates---
date of commencement for issuing Information Brochure: March 3rd week, 2010
last Date for receipt of request for issue of Information by Post: April 1st week, 2010
last date for issue of application brochure from NIPER: April 4th week, 2010
last date for submission of completed application forms: April 4th week, 2010
date of Entrance Examination: June 2nd week, 2010
commencement of program: July 4th week, 2010

for admission to NIPER you should have done B.Pharm/M.Sc(in relevant disciplines)/B.Tech(Chemical Engineering) /B.V.Sc./ MBBS/BAMS or equivalent with atleast 60% aggregate or equivalent.

Also you should have valid GATE/NET scores for several disciplines. The eligibility criteria for different programmes varies in terms of the qualifying degree therefore refer to the admission notification for details. Those in their final year can also apply.

the niper is conducting its own examination,you should apply for it

u must have 60% marks in your graduation (pharmacy) to be eligible for common entrance test (CET)..also u should have valid GATE/NET score

As you already know GATE is not happening for pharma courses, many students are facing the same kind of problems as you are facing, for regular updates anf info. i would suggest you to regularily visit www.niper.ac.in and do your preparations as you would have been doing for your GATE coz it's a possibilty that same kind of exam will be conducted for GATE applicants.

GATE was the exam to get admission in NIPER but now it is replaced with a similar exam named as GPAT graduate pharmacy aptitute test ....it has same syllabus as that of GATE
and also NIPER will going to conduct CET

at earlier gate exam is the way for taking admission into niper ..
but now gate is not conducted for getting admission into niper..
there is separate exam for getting admission into it..
which is G P A T..
so

if you have get 60% marks in graduation , then you are eligible for niper exams.

HI friend..
there are lots of criteria that you need to full fill in order for the NIPER..

1.. you should pass some courses like B.PHARM/M.SC/B.TECH/B.V.SC/MBBS/BAMS or some equivalent courses..with minimum of 60%..

2..but for SC/ST.. they require only 55%..

3..you should have possessed valid GATE/NET scores for several fields..

4.. even the final year students can apply for it..
