What does it mean by excitation table?
What does it mean by excitation table? I am studying electronics course and am not able to understand this term. Can someone please let me know the definition of it and also explain me with some good examples to understand the topic? Thank you!

Hi,
Flip-flop specifies the next state when the input and the present state are known. During the design of sequential circuits, the required transition form present state to next state and to find the FF input conditions that will cause the required transition. For this reason we need a table that lists the required input combinations for a given change of state. Such a table is called a flip-flop excitation table. Below is an example:- |
