Re: What is an Electric Generator? How does it work and the functions of Electric Generator?
electrical generator is the device that converts the mechanical energy into the electrical energy.
electric generator forces the electrons in the windings to flow through the external circuit. it is somewhat anologus to the water pump which creates the flow of water but does not creates the water inside. its function is to just convert the mechanical energy into electrical energy. thanks |

Re: What is an Electric Generator? How does it work and the functions of Electric Generator?
Electric generator is an electrical device which generates electricity. Technically speaking, a generator is a device which converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. The most common example for electrical generator working is a hydroelectric power station. In a Hydro electric power station, water is allowed to fall on to the blades of a turbines or water is collected and forcefully hit onto the blades of the turbine to rotate the turbine. This rotation of the turbine is converted into electrical energy.
