i,m currently in the final year of technical graduation and wants to apply for nda exams
and so wants to know the eligibility criteria & age limit and if i,m eligible how will it take for me to become a soldier in the army?

The eligibility for NDA exam is as under-

1. You must have a nationality of INDIA.

2. Your age lies between 16.5 to 19 years & the candidate must be an unmarried male.

3. Educational qualification-
For Army wing-!2th class passed from any stream.
For Air Force & naval wing-12th class passed from science stream with physics & maths as a compulsory subjects.

4. Physical Standards : Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy.

ur eyesight should be 6/6 and u should be physically strong enough to endure the tough training they give..
after u pass out ur graduation..u will have to give the NDA or IMA exam and if u qualify in the written exam..then they will u call u up for further rounds of selection which will consist of Group Discussion and Personal Interview..

Sorry to say that you not my friend basically NDA is only for 12th passed candidate .
Eligibility criteria of NDA are as follows :-
1]A candidate should be 12th passed in any discipline .
2]A candidate should have at least 50% in 12th.
3]Age limit 16 1/2 -19 years .
4]12th appearing candidate is also eligible .
5]A candidate should be physically fit .
6]A candidate should have 6/6 eyesight .
7]A candidate should be citizen of India.

As you said that you are in final year of technical graduation then you can join army
through the following entries such as :-
1]CDS -Combined defence srevice this exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year.
This exam is only for those candidate who has completed their graduation in any discipline.
Age limit 19 -24 years .
2]SSC- Short service commission a candidate can also join army as a officer through SSC
entrance exam .This paper is also conducted by UPSC .But it is short service commission
it means a candidate can serve in Indian army for limited period .
Age limit 19-24 years .
3]TGS -Techinical graduate scheme in this a candidate should have degree in engineering Age limit 19-24 years .

NDA (National Defence Academy) is one of the platforms through which you can express your indomitable spirit for your own country India.

Eligibility for Indian Army :
1:You should pass 12(10+2)th or its equivalent from State Board / Universities. you can also apply as appearing for 12th examination.

2:Marital Status:Unmarried

3:Sex :Male.

4:Age Limit : Between 16.5 and 19.

5:Nationality:
You have to be A citizen of India, or
subject of Bhutan, or
subject of Nepal, or
Tibetan refugee .

Application Forms are published in any leading newspapers during March or April every year and entrance examination to be held by the UPSC six months later from the application form is published.

The UPSC (NDA) exam is conducted twice a year (April and October)in all major cities throughout India.

Each year course start twice January and July.

Selection Procedure: National Defence Academy selects the candidates in three phases :

i)A written examination by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC).
ii)An interview by the Service Selection Board(SSC) to check the potentialities Intelligence and personality.
iii)A medical examination by a Service Medical Board(SMB).

The written examination is of two papers of all objective type questions.
i)Mathematics of 2.5 hours maximum number 300 including Arithmetic, Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics.

ii)General Ability test of 2.5 hours maximum number 600 including General English, General Knowledge,Physics,Chemistry,General Science,History,Freedom Movement,Geography,Current Event

After clearing the written exam you will be called for a five-day interview process with the State Selection Board (SSB) which is the final step of selection.

On completion of the NDA course, you are sent to the respective service academies for your pre- commission training.

How to apply ?
You can apply for NDA by one of the two methods :
Online : To apply online you can visit www.upsconline.nic.in
Offline : You can get forms in selected post offices in the country.

Eligibility Criteria :
> Your age must be between 16 1/2 to 19 years on 1st january or on 1st july on the year of the exam.
> You should have cleared 10+2 to join NDA or can apply for NDA even if currently doing 10+2.
> Your marital status should be unmarried
> You should be the permanent citizen of India
> You should be physically as well as mentally fit.

At first there will be a written test then will be interview rounds and medical. You will get selected on the basis of your eligibility.

NDA- NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC two times every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force of NDA.
