IFS stands for Indian Foreign Service and this Examination is conducted Union Public Service Commission . This Examination held every once in year .

NOTE I : Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and the Other Backward Classes who are also covered under any other clauses of Para 3(ii)(b) above, viz. those coming under the category of Ex-servicemen, persons domiciled in the State of J & K, blind, deaf- mute and orthopaedically handicapped etc. will be eligible for grant of cumulative age- relaxation under both the categories. NOTE II : The term Ex-servicemen will apply to the persons who are defined as Ex- servicemen in the Ex-servicemen (Re- employment in Civil Services and Posts) Rules, 1979, as amended from time to time. I think the above eligibility criteria is for the Indian Forest Services (IFS) and not the Indian Foreign Services. Clearly Animal Husbandry as a subject may not help candidates have a better prospect in International diplomacy.

To get a job in IFS, you have to appear in the UPSC civil Services Exams.

Eligibilty to apply is:
Graduation pass in any Stream

AGE- Minimum 21 years
Maximum 30 years
Candidates belonging to OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations
2nd August, 1983 and not later than 1st August, 1992.

ATTEMPTS- General candidates- 4 times
OBC- 7 times
SC/ST- No such restriction

Since you are already 30 years old and belong to General category, so you cannot apply for this exams

IFS - Indian Forest Service and to become an IFS officer, one has to crack Civil Service Exam, conducted every year by UPSC.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian national having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical fitness, can apply for IFS, Civil Service Exam.
