What is the question patter of IIT JAM examination? How much questions are asked in IIT JAM? Per question how much mark do we get? What is the marking scheme? Is there any negative marking?

As per the latest pattern, IIT JAM paper comprises of 60 questions out of which 40 questions are of two marks and 20 are of one mark each.

Further, there are three category of question which are namely Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Numerical Ability Test (NAT), and Multiple Select Questions (MSQs).

Also, there is provision of negative marking of 1/3 of the maximum marks allotted for the question on giving wrong response in MCQ type questions while there is no negative marking for NAT and MSQs type questions.
