Dear friend,
The following are the main functions of security council:

  • To determine the existance of a treat to the peace or an act of aggression and to recommended what action should be taken.
  • To take military action against an aggressor
  • To formulate plans for the establishment of a system to regulate arnaments.
  • To investigate any situation that might lead to international friction
  • To maintain international peace and security in accordance with the principles.

The security council also is empowered to excercise the trusteeship functions of the national area.

All the best.................
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
