what is the gate examregistraion fee for other cast(OC)...please tell me the fee

dear friend ,

here i am giving the important information about the gate exam 2012.

1) online application forms of the GATE exam was started from 12th September 2011.
you can submit the GATE application form online.

2) last date of submission of the GATE exam form 17 october 2011.

3) GATE online exam : 29th January 2012
GATE offline exam : 12th February 2012

4) result of the GATE exam 2012 : 15th March 2012.

The fees for the exam is Rs 1000. For candidates belonging to SC/ST caste or candidates who are physically handicapped the fees is Rs 500. There is no concession for candidates from the OBC category. Applications can be made both online and offline. The last date to apply is 24th October.

GATE i.e Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

The candidate have to apply Only online.The fees structure is given below :-

• General/OBC :- 1000/-
• SC/ST/PD :- 500/-

For OC candidates :- 1000/-


Before applying,applicants are advised to download the GATE Brochure and read it carefully.

Eligibility Criteria to apply for this examination :-

• The candidates should have a bachelor degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture from any recognized university.
• The candidate should have a master degree in any branch of Science/Statistics/Mathematics/Computer Science.
• Those in the pre-final year of the examination can't apply for this examination.

Online application fees:-

For general and OBC -1000

For SC/ST -500

If you want to fill up the application form then you have visit to http://www.gate.iitb.ac.in .

If you have submit the application form in offline then you can send all document before 24th October, 2011 ( Monday ).

You should give clear information weather your cast is under SC/ST or OBC.

For General and OBC category entarnce exam fee is 1000/-Rs.

What is the GATE entrance examination fee for Other Caste(OC)?

>>There are two different modes i.e Offline and Online.

>>You can apply application form either through Offline mode or through Online mode.

Application fee under Offline mode for General or Other caste which comes under General only is 1000 and For SC/ST/PD its 500 rupees.

Application fee under Online mode for General or Other caste which comes under General only is 900 and for SC/ST/PD its 400 Rupees.

>>Lets see some Criteria for Gate 2012.

• Should be Bachelor's Degree either in Engineering or Architecture or who are in final year of their course can apply for Gate 2012.

there have two types of payment options

Gateway Payment:
Payment can be made using netbanking. Bank service charge is extra (maximum of Rs.30/-)

Challan Payment:
Payment by cash at ICICI, Indian Bank or State Bank of India branches. Bank service charge is extra (maximum of Rs.25/-).

Through GATE you can take admission in all IITs,IISB, and other premier institute in India.

GATE 2012 Examination will include both ONLINE and OFFLINE examinations as per the following schedule:

Online-29 January 2012 (Sunday) 09:00 Hrs to 12:00 Hrs,14:00 Hrs to 17:00 Hrs
Offline-12 February 2012(Sunday) 09:00 Hrs to 12:00 Hrs,14:00 Hrs to 17:00 Hrs


Results will be declared on 14 March.[/B]

[B]GATE forums can be handed over personally to the respective Zonal GATE Office on or before Monday,24th October, 2011.
You can also fill the form online till 17 Oct.

The GATE test duration is 3 hours. There are 65 questions with a maximum of 100 marks. Objective type questions are included in the GATE test.

So you have to prepare some aptitude question and you have to have deep knowledge of subjects related to your branch in your engineering degree.
If you are from civil engg. then MCQ question will be from civil engg. subjects. Hence no need to go out of your syllabus.

Eligibility for GATE exam is:

1.You should be a Indian citizen.

2.You should have done his/her degree in any of engg. trade.

3.If you have Master’s degree in any branch of Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre – final year of such programs.

4. You should have min 50% marks in degree.5% relaxation to SC/ST and 3% to OBC.
