I want my carrier in nift
i m 12th pass, so what i have to do first

first you have to qualify its entrance exam nift.

NIFT conducts every year a written Entrance exam for the students who wish to do the Bachelor programmes: B.Des (accesory design, fashion communication, fashion design, knitwear design, leather design, textile design), B.F.Tech (apparel production).

The application Forms are available in the month of november to january & a written exam is conducted in the month of February.Declaration of written examination result is in the End of March and Situation test/group discussion/interview is held in the month of April-May.

Prospectus can also be obtained from any of the NIFT centres by hand for Rs 250/- or by post on payment of Rs 350/- by way of demand draft in favour of NIFT payable at New Delhi.

There is an entrance exam to get into the NIFT. As the entrance exam for this year has already taken place in the month of february you hav to try for the next year. There are two types of Degree courses offered by the National Institute of Fashion Technology(NIFT) which you can take after passing your 10+2/Inter.These courses are :-

1. Bachelor degree in Design (B.Des).
2. Bachelor degree in Technology (B.Tech).

Various Streams offered under B.Des Program-me are :

• Fashion Design.
• Leather Design.
• Accessory Design.
• Textile Design.

There is only one stream which you can do through B.Tech Program-me.This is :

• B.Tech in Apparel Production.

Qualification required for B.Des Course

• Candidates minimum educational qualification should be 10+2 pass out in any discipline from recognized university/board.
• Candidates minimum marks should be 50% in 10+2 level.
• Candidates compulsory subject in 10+2 level should be English.

Qualification required for B.Tech Course

• Candidates minimum educational qualification should be 10+2 pass out with science discipline from recognized board/university.
• Candidates should have Mathematics paper in 10+2 level.
• Candidates compulsory paper in 10+2 should be English.
• Candidates minimum marks in 10+2 level should be 60%.
