i am doing btech in CE engg. and i don"t know what i have to do in CE engg. because CE is not my aim . bt i want this for my parents....................plzzzz tell me for which i have to prepare in CE engg , that will also get my own aim? nd also fullfill my parents dreams?

Civil Engineers get jobs in core companies mainly. Core companies like SAIL, BHEL, NTPC etc.

The main responsibility of a civil engineer is to supervise construction of buildings.

Today, everywhere in India, there is a large no. of growing buildings like apartments, villas, bridges, super malls, amusement parks, towers, roads-highways and many more and all these requires civil engineers.

So the demand of civil engineers are also increasing since construction or structural works need Civil Engineers.

So if you think in that way, your parents have thought about your bright future and thats why chose CE as your stream.

If your dream is something else, then you can also fulfil it after fulfilling your parents dream. They will be proud of you.

what are the things i have to do while pursuing civil engineering.. i dont know how to continue in that field.. am doing my civil engineering 3 rd year in srm university....

i am doing ce and of 3rd yr.i have got 60%in 10th and 56% in 12th will iget job in good company....plz tell me sir

Good job opportunities are completely in your hands.It depends not only on your grip of subject in your course but also on your communication skills.If you have good subject and you have no skills to express it,then there is no use to study.

i want to know the vacancies in civil core companies for womens..And it must be a design oriented jobs with good pay..

DUDE!! one think i must say that u have to achieve your goal rather than running to your parents dreams because it u who is going to live your life in next 30 to 50 years not your parents.
now going to your question in CE main work is to supervise your assignment including construction jobs given to you by your company.
