B.tech holders in civil engineering can join as Executive trainee in OPGCL. They can also join as Graduate Engineer Trainee in IOCL, GAIL or SAIL. Graduation with 60% marks and a valid GATE score is required to apply. You can try for Asst Engineer jobs with LIC. Another similar opportunity exists with Vizag steel in the role of Asst Manager. In banks, you can try for Specialist Officer or P.O profiles.

There are lots of oppurtunities at higher level after completing BTech Civil Engineering are: You can apply for Site Supervisor,Site Engineer,Jr Architect
There are various scope of Jobs for Civil Engineers are: Space Consultants in New Delhi as a site supervisor as well as site Engineer There are various oppurtunities in various states like Tamilnadu,AndhraPrades,Delhi,Karnataka,Gujarat and many more so not to worry and should feel cool for jobs after Btech One can even apply as Jr Architect in any desiginig company and can make career in desigining also. Civil Engineers can work for that also. So All the Best for future. |

After completing the Civil Engineering you can try for the government jobs. The most preferred option will be to appear for the Indian Engineering Service entrance exam. All the engineering graduates prefer to appear for IES.
The reason is that through Indian Engineering Service, very reputed jobs are offered by the government in various deparments and sectors in India. You may be working in department related to defence or perhaps road construction. Indian Engineering Service is conducted by Union Public Service Commission and to appear for it, you must have completed B.Tech in the following branches. Civil Mechanical Electrical Electronics and Communications Since you are Civil Engineer it makes you eligible for the Indian Engineering Service. After clearing the entrance exam you will be considered for jobs in the following departments. Indian Railway Service of Engineers Indian Railway Stores Service Central Engineering Service Indian Defense Service of Engineers Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) Central Water Engineering Central Engineering Service (Roads) Border Roads Engineering Service Indian Engineering Service Eligibility 1. You should be Indian national. 2. Must have a bachelor degree in Engineering to apply. 3. Final year candidates are also eligible. 4. There is no criteria for marks. 5. You should be minimum of 21 years to apply. 6. The upper age limit is 30 years. 7. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 8. The relaxation is 5 years for SC and ST. |
