i m abhinav. i m pursuing b.tech (ECE) first year. can u please tel me wht are the job prospects in this branch.also i have a confusion whether to do or m.tech after this.

There are always software companies for ECE like IBM, TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS. If you want to go for core electronics companies you can go for MOTOROLA, REUTERS,DELL also

Since ECE is a evergreen stream hence there are many job opportunities for ECE graduates.Some the core companies of Electrical and Electronics side from Government sector are mentioned below:-

BHEL, BSNL, HAL, BEL, NTPC, ISRO, DRDO, SAIL, GAIL, AAI.etc.

Since there are three years of course left in your Engineering hence you first focus on gaining the subject both practically and subject wise.

M.tech is nothing but specialization in one of your subjects which you will complete in your Engineering course.Some of the subjects which are normally chosen by graduates from ECE stream are Power Electronics and VLSI Design.These subjects are chosen since there are used widely in Indusrtial side.For example the use of IGBT's, SCR's and other electronic devices have increased remarkably.After completing your M.tech course you can find more job opportunities in the core side and teaching side.

The notifications about Government sector exams are published in leading newspapers and in the weekly journal "Employment News".You can even go through the IES examination conducted by the UPSC Board so that you can seek jobs in Defense, Railways and other such Government sectors.

ECE is perhaps the best engg. branch. Since today everything is digital, it has much scope.

* You can easily get into a public sector job. Some of them are-

* You can also easily get a job in IT sector. Many big IT companies like TCS, Infosys, IBM, WIPRO, etc. hire ECE engineers. So, lot of scope in private sector as well.

* You can work in core telecom companies like Airtel, Idea, Reliance etc.

You can do MTech in a number of interesting subjects like-

* VLSI design
* Embedded System
* Digital Communication
* Electronic devices etc.

So, ECE is a very potential branch.

for ECE department have many scope in govt sector. but in private sector their is huge scope.

they can join in the given below govt sector

1.rail.

2.PWC.

3.NTPC.

4.DVC.

5.ONGC.

6.BHEL.

7.ONGC.

8.BSNL

9.BANK JOB

10.FCI

etc.

but private sector have better scope than govt sector. There are so many private company. Like TCS, CTS ,IBM ,HP ,L&T ,SATYAM etc.

also you can try for GATE exam.

hi...first of all let me congratulate you for joining one of the best branch available in the engineering field in the country ,this is an field which is having great scope now and also in the near future,there are many good scope in the core companies in the electronics group with some of the best pay packages ,companies like national instruments are paying an starting packages of more than 6 lakhs and some of the companies like motorola are even paying more than 10 lakhs per month,
apart from the core companies software companies like tata consultancy services,infosys,hcl,wipro,congnizant,prodigy,conv ergys all are taking electronics engineers with very good pay packages so if you have an interest in software job even then you have lots of options available in the country

There are unlimited job prospects for ECE branch engineer because this time ECE is suppose to be the best branch.
You can go in government and private sector both.

You should complete graduation in any recognised university with an aggregate 60%.
