I am 20 years of old. My date of birth is 30th March, 1999. Am I eligible to join Indian Air Force? How can I join? What would I do after joining? What are the joining charges? Is there any entrance requirement?

The minimum age required to join Indian Air Force is 16.5 years as per the UPSC NDA examination notification. Candidates who have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Mathematics and Physics subjects from a recognised board are eligible to apply for NDA examination for joining in Indian Air Force. You should be in the age range of 16.5 to 19.5 years for NDA examination or 19 to 24 years for CDS examination.

Through NDA entry the age limit is 16.5-19.5 years.

But for all other entry the minimum age limit is at least 18 years while upper limit varies with examination.

Candidates with bachelor degree can appear for AFCAT or CDS for officer entry in Indian Air Force.

For Air Force X and Y category the minimum required educational qualification is std 12th.
