MPPCS Exam Pattern : Preliminary Exam Mains Exam Personal Interview Preliminary Exam consists of two papers of objective type questions total marks 450 Paper I General Studies Duration : 2hrs Marks : 150 Paper II Optional subjects Duration : 2hrs Marks : 300 Main Exam is the written exam that consists of seven exam papers of conventional essay type questions where 3 subjects are compulsory & four are optional Personal Interview : candidates need to obtain a min of 33% in each of the subject & in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST qualifying marks would be 23% |

Hi,
MPPCS stands for Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission. Examination Pattern for this exam:- *Preliminary Exam- MPPSC changed the Syllabus for State Civil Services Preliminary Exams. The optional paper will be replaced by the General Aptitude Test Paper. Hence, the MPPSC Preliminary Exam will consist of two papers General Studies and General Aptitude Test. Both the papers will carry 200 marks each. Questions will be of objective type.Both the papers will consist of 100 questions carrying 2 marks for each question. Paper – 1 (General Studies) will consist of following subjects: 1. General Science & Environment 2. Current Events of National and International Importance 3. History of India and Independent India 4. Geography of India 5. Indian Polity and Economy 6. Sports 7. Geography, History and Culture of Madhya Pradesh 8. Polity and Economy of Madhya Pradesh 9. Information and Communication Technology 10. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribe ( Prevention of Atrocities ) Act, 1989, the Protection of Civil Rights Act, 1955 Paper – 2 (General Aptitude Test Paper) will consist of following subjects: 1. Comprehension 2. Interpersonal Skill including Communication Skill 3. Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability 4. Decision Making and Problem Solving 5. General Mental Ability 6. Basic Numeracy, Data Interpretation 7.
